Duane Gaither: Founder and Owner
I grew up in a world of service. I am a US Army Veteran and a former police officer and have spent many years working in the manufacturing and government service.
I founded Southeastern Onsite Safety on one premise - a safe workplace is essential.
After 40 years of experience in the workforce, I realized that there is a severe lack of professional safety services in our workplaces.
Whether a business is a “mom and pops” shop, or a manufacturer with thousands of employees, we all share one thing in common. We care about our people and want our employees and businesses to flourish. Safety is important in both our business and personal lives.
I am a licensed provider for the American Red Cross, an OSHA-Authorized Trainer for General Industry 10 and 30 Hour, Disaster Site Worker 7.5 and 15 hour, and I hold several certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. These include the STS, CIT, and OHST certifications.
Deanna Gaither: Co-Founder and Administrative Manager
I have over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and restaurant safety and training. I served as the corporate trainer for a nationwide restaurant chain, training management and employees in general safety and food sanitation and safety.
In my current position, I direct the auditing of workplaces, the completion and accuracy of compliance documentation, and the preparation of written safety programs and procedures. My staff also prepares training presentations and documentation for our operations staff.
My credentials include OSHA 30 Hr. in general industry and two degrees from New Hampshire Technical College; one is an AA in Business Management, and the other is an AA in Automotive Technology.
I have attended many advanced-level OSHA outreach training courses to support my work. My specialties are Hazard Communication, OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, and Fall Protection.
John R Hite Jr: Operations and Project Manager
I am a 29-year veteran of the US Army and US Army Reserves. I started my safety career when I attended Jumpmaster School at Ft Bragg, NC, in December 2000. I served in various safety positions throughout my military and civilian career before settling for a permanent career in Environmental Health and Safety in Auburn, Alabama, with Southeastern Onsite Safety, LLC as their Operations/Project Manager, as I believe in and stand behind the premise of “A safe workplace, is essential.”
Along with my duties as Operations Manager and Project Management, I am Red Cross Instructor certified for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA-Authorized Trainer for General Industry 10 and 30 Hour, and Disaster Site Worker 7.5 and 15 hour. I have also completed a 200-hour HAZMAT technician course and the OSHA HAZWOPER 40 course.
